Mamãe Oxum (2023)

This 3 track-EP is an homage to the Afro-Brazilian Orixá (diety), Oxum. Mamãe Oxum translates to “Mother Oxum” in Portuguese. An entity of sweet waters, this EP aims to celebrate the beauty, sweetness and love that this Orixá brings. The songs themselves are originally Pontos (prayer songs) that Nilo herself arranged for a 16 piece ensemble in Oxum’s honor. The complimentary music videos were filmed in Bahia, Brazil with members of the Balé Folclorico da Bahia
